Gray Line of Seattle Goes Green From the Ground Up!
Gray Line of Seattle has been working towards becoming an ecologically friendly business since 1996 when we began the construction of our current shop and office facility. We took a piece of environmentally broken, ecologically damaged property left over from a lumber company in the industrialized zone in West Seattle, and with a $1.5 million pre-construction site cleanup project, we reclaimed the old lumber yard from diesel fuel, bunker oil, lead and foundry slag contamination. The site now meets residential environmental standards!
Our building was designed to conserve resources while at the same time provide a healthy, comfortable working environment. Recycled building materials were used to construct our energy-friendly building, and great effort was taken to incorporate resource conservation in the design.
