Major Makeover for Airport Shuttle Service

SEATTLE, Wash. – Gray Line of Seattle's airport transportation service is getting a major makeover – new name, new color, new airport reservation desk, and wheelchair accessibility on all Airporter coaches – but it will continue to provide the same convenient and timely service between Seattle-Tacoma Airport and major downtown Seattle hotels.
The new name is Downtown Airporter and the new bright yellow motor coaches will be easy to spot on the airport drive. Also, the familiar Gray Line of Seattle curbside ticket booths have been consolidated and moved inside to the airport's new atrium at Door OO (zero-zero), located at the south end of the baggage claim area.
"The new yellow exterior will be especially helpful to passengers who will be able to easily distinguish their Airporter coach from our other blue motor coaches," says David Gudgel, Gray Line of Seattle general manager. "And it'll help the hotel concierge when several coaches are parked in front of the downtown hotels."
Departures from the airport are every 30 minutes from 5:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. on the hour and half-hour. The direct Downtown Airporter serves eight hotels in the downtown core. One-way price is $8.50 adult, $6 child 2-12 years; round trip is $14 adult and $10 child. Children under 2 travel free. A complimentary connector van service to nearby downtown hotels operates 5:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Van transportation to outlying hotels and sites is available for an additional $2.50 one way and
$5 round trip.
Tickets for the Downtown Airporter may be purchased at the airport desk, from any Gray Line of Seattle desk or driver, from most hotel concierge desks, or online at www.graylineofseattle.com. For information on the service, call 206/626-6088 or 800/426-7532.
