Seattle is known for attractions such as Pike Place Market and the Space Needle, but outside the downtown core, Seattle is a city of neighborhoods, each with its own, unique personality. Using a smaller vehicle, we travel through parts of town many visitors never see.
Soak up the Asian flavor of the International District. Check out the quirky public art in Fremont, the self-proclaimed “Center of the Universe”, and get a taste of Seattle’s maritime culture as you drive past Fisherman’s Terminal. At the Hiram Chittenden Locks, you’ll see the famous Fish Ladder, where an underwater viewing room lets you watch for sea life. And enjoy a sprawling view of the skyline from atop one of Seattle’s scenic lookout points.
We’re proud to bring you up close with one of the more famous Seattle industries, Coffee! Join us as we taste, smell and feel the coffee bean as it travels through life from a raw bean to a cup of steaming Joe. You’ll have the chance to feel beans in their natural state and fresh out of a roaster.
Seattle’s glassblowing studios are internationally recognized and produce some of the finest quality glass artwork available. On this tour, view the studio’s hot shop and watch local artisans at work.
Gray Line exclusively brings you admission to the Glass Eye Studio, which produces hand-blown heirloom quality collectibles. Combining traditional and classic forms with vivid colors, Glass Eye produces original work sought after by discriminating collectors. The Glass House Studio, Seattle’s oldest glassblowing studio, was founded in 1972, at the beginning of the Northwest Glass Movement. The Glasshouse showcase includes the work of over 40 glass artists, with an emphasis on regional talent.
